Muddy river with a dragonfly

 

The theme of our bathroom is a muddy river!

With a dragonfly.

Typically one would make a small space like this white.

To make it look bigger and brighter.

But we did not.

Why?

Because, why not!

Ah, this is real stone and dimensions are not uniform.

They have to cut every tile to make it fit. Every day we give them some extra money for all the extra effort.

We found 10 cm thick stone for the edge of our terrace

There was an ants nest there. The seller got all bitten by them.

Using natural thick stone means that even if it gets damaged, it will still look good.

They have made proper foundation for our edge

We asked them: can we make kitchen counter black? After some thinking he said: There is an old trick: use charcoal in batteries.

So we went to an ordinary shop and got few of those. (one costs just over an euro)

We are happy with the result. Yellow and black will go well together.

They finally fixed the problem of water flowing down our window. Hope it is enough. (they did not want to make more, because this is not our land.

They are making a water canal on the side of the road

For final layer, we can not expect asphalt. I think they will only use concrete. We are in a very low income neighborhood. This is why our house was so cheap.
