Because of this holiday, only one shop with statues was open. And even this one shop got my imagination running!
How about an Octopus holding a glass table? 100 euros (price not negotiated for any of the items)
Hippopotamus, 300 euro (because so much wood is used) We will buy one of those and use it as a bench for seating
Elephant head, 300 Euros (no animals were hurt in the proces) Imagine a wall with few of those.
Put blue tiles on the wall, and a few fish like this.
It will look splendid!
Maybe a turtle table stand instead of an octopus?
Beside Hipo, there can be a Rhino too...
How about an alien lizard table?
We have only scratched the surface of what you can buy here...
Our house will look like a ZOO!
We will have statues, aquariums, a cockatoo... !

More shops we visited a day later
Basket for the clothes and matching drawers. 15 euro plus 7 euro per drawer...
We bought 70 euro worth of matching baskets...
Chubby fish.
Old Ganesha. Wonder how much it costs? (most shops are still closed) Whatever it is: this is the size we want. Giant statue is a statement, small one is stuff that is in the way...

Next shop
I bet this wood carver is from other island of Indonesia. It looks like he could be from Sulawesi?
Thus style does not match other Bali stuff... We will probably not go with tribal style, but if we would so choose: we could. Change our home in to a tribal house: no problem.
I am big fan of this style!
It has elements of danger.
So many patterns to enjoy.
If I would be making a bar on the beach, this is they style! The danger element would make people drink and dance more.

yet another shop
I liked this whale so much I broke the rule: never buy small objects.
Well, it fits so nice on my desk!
A little decor makes such a difference...
...and it costed only 1.5 euro!
This is a shop about 5km north of Ubud. Prices here are so much cheaper then in touristy Ubud. And the place to awoid the most is Ubud market. Not only it is expensive, they sell ugly cheap tourist tricks. too.
