Food in a restaurant near Bromo mountain.
Grill Chicken; It may look a bit dry, but no. It is made to exact moisture with special spices, it is Delicious! Here we ate in a traditional way: with a hand. Typically they eat with a spoon and a fork (brought here by the Dutch)
French fries on other hand, is not their food: no salt, too dry and a weird oil taste. Each nation knows how to do their dish, but can get confused with other cultures.
Soda Gembira (happy soda) is a fizzy drink with syrup. Most Indonesians are lactose intolerant, and you do not see milk products (except in high altitude regions)

Java is incredibly fertile! It never gets dry, it has volcano soil, it has sun all year! Everything you put in the ground grows fast. One field can produce corn in the dry season, rice in the wet season, and you can gather fruits of the land every 3 to 4 months. This makes for one of the most fertile regions on this planet. This is how Java can sustain 150 million people.
